Between the 7th and 11th March 2011, No. 47712 and 47802 were used on a number of crew training runs between Inverness and Perth using a rake of Riviera Mk2 coaches. This is thought to be in connection with DRS taking over the Cruise Saver Travel workings between Glasgow /Edinburgh and Southampton Docks. The pair are seen heading north through Bridge of Allan with 5Z70 Crewe HS - Inverness on the first day of operation.
