Class 37-hauled freight returned to the Highland main line on the 23rd September 2009 when DRS commenced a trial service between Coatbridge and Inverness on behalf of road haulier John G Russell. Class 37/0 No. 37038 leads Class 37/6 No. 37611 and a short rake of wagons into Stirling with the 4Z50 09:22 return journey on the first day of operation.
