EWS Class 67 No. 67023 was used as the main motive power after the CFPS owned Class 40 No. 40145 suffered a number 4 traction motor failure once past Netherfield Junction on the outward leg of the East Lancs Explorer charter. 67023 is seen here with 40145 dead in tow, on the 1Z42 return leg of the railtour, passes Whittlesey signal box on the 4th September 2010.
