What Newport had for Christmas. During the seasonal shutdown, a new footbridge was lowered into place which will form the centrepiece of the £22m modernisation of Newport Station. FGW's 1125 Newport to Swansea departs on 28th December 2009, the Paddington service being truncated due to the large engineering project at Severn Tunnel Junction.
