Ex-LMS class 5 No. 5305 passes Beauchief, south of Sheffield, on 14th April 1979, on the four miles of continuous 1 in 100 climb to Dore and Totley where the train will take the Hope Valley route, with a charter from Hull to Dinting. The formation on the left of the picture is the former trackbed of the Hope Valley lines.
