To the joy of railway photographers the franchise holder for Cross Country has to hire-in an additional HST to move holidaymakers on peak summer Saturdays. On 15 August 2009 one of National Express East Coast's reliveried HSTs passes through the beautiful Worcestershire countryside at Besford whilst conveying Mancunians (and others) on the 07.00 Manchester Picadilly to Newquay.
