In this view over Toton yard, EWS liveried Class 60 No 60031 'ABP Connect' (originally named 'Ben Lui')is seen stood in one of the northbound sidings, with a working to Peak Forest. Behind it are a number of stored and non operational Class 60's - of which Toton is home to a large number. The stored locomotives that can be viewed here include 60008 'Sir William McAlpine' (originally named 'Moel Fammau') 60036 'GEFCO' (originally named 'Sgurr Na Ciche') and 60069 'Slioch' (originally named 'Humphrey Davy'). 60069 is unusual as the name 'Slioch' was an original Class 60 name which was transferred to 60069 from 60087 when that locomotive was re-named. All of these 3 locomotives are listed as stored unserviceable. Sept 2008.
