Network Rails new DBSO, (9703) approaches water Orton at the head of a test train from Derby. The DBSO will be used on test trains and saves the expense of having a second locomotive on the working. The BDSO's were originally std Mark 2f coaches which were converted to add a driving cab at the barke end in 1979/80 for use on the ScotRail Glasgow-Edinburgh push-pull workings. Since then they have found empolyment on the Great Eastern between Norwich and London, from where they have recently been made redundant. 16th April 2008.
