Testing and commissioning work on Line 2a of the Nottingham Express Transit system is now well underway, with regular night time operations.

The current limit of operations is around the new Wilford Lane stop on the route out to Clifton, with operations due to be extended to the end of the line in the coming weeks. The overhead lines through the Clifton have recently been energised, with a safety campaign now taking place in the local area. Meanwhile, construction work is continuing on Line 2b to Toton Lane. Meanwhile, several of the Alstom Citadis trams are now in public service on Line 1 with just two left to be delivered.
