The two GBRf-liveried Class 50 locomotives, Nos. 50007 Hercules and 50049 Defiance, owned by the Class 50 Alliance, power through Cogload Junction on 23rd March last year, with the '50 Terminator Phoenixed' charter for Pathfinder Tours to Penzance. Richard Tuplin

Pathfinder Tours has confirmed that it has taken the difficult decision to postpone its entire charter programme for 2020.

The company had earlier announced new dates in September and October for some tours, but realities of the current situation have resulted in further changes being made. Peter Watts, Planning and Operations Manager of Pathfinder Tours told Railway Herald: "The current situation and social distancing requirements have caused us to reassess the viability of the planned programme this year."

The net result is that the company will not run a charter service for the remainder of the year, with its next booked working, the 'Blue-Boys Merrymixer' now expected to operate on 30th January.
