The Railway Touring Company has confirmed that the proposed main line debut for LNER 'A3' Pacific No. 60103 Flying Scotsman has been postponed.
The problem is due to issues surrouding completing the overhaul, according to RTCs Nigel Dobbing, who told Railway Herald that the tour was now expected to be worked by two 'Black 5' locomotives.
An NRM spokesperson told Railway Herald: "We can confirm that Flying Scotsman will not be hauling the Winter Cumbrian Mountain Express this Saturday, 23rd January, due to some fine tuning work needed on the brakes which has recently been identified as a result of the test runs on the East Lancashire Railway."
The NRM added that main line test runs for Flying Scotsman will not be this week however it expects them to take place soon, adding that this is the nature of the testing and commissioning process.
