Latest private rail operator to enter the Bulgarian freight market is LTE Logstics and Transport who have taken delivery of the latest two SIEMENS Smartrons to find work on the Bulgarian rail network. LTE is a well established Western European logistics and transport company that has recently expanded its activities into Bulgaria following the delivery of Nos. 80-064 and 80-065. Both Smartrons have been noted on cross border international freight workings, often working together in double-headed configuration. But working solo on 11th October 2023 Smartron No. 80064 is captured eastbound at Voluyak with TCDD TASIMACILIK A.S. wagons in tow, almost certainly heading for Kapikule close to the Bulgarian/Turkish border for onward transit.
