Named after Timothy Hackworth's entry at the Rainhill Trials in 1829, Class 86 No. 86214 'Sans Pareil' stands at Carlisle on 19th September 1981. Class 45 No. 45125 stands alongside. Whilst the Class 86 was scrapped in 2006, the Class 45 survived and is based at the Great Central Railway.
