Class 86/5 No. 86505 'Royal Anglian Regiment' arrives at Crewe from the North with a parcels service on 29th July 1989, Built as E3149 in 1966 and became No. 86246, the Class 86/5 change to non-passenger work in October 1988 was short lived and by 1990 it became No. 86246 again, and was one of the last 2 Class 86/2 remaining in service, being withdrawn in September 2008. Components were stripped from No. 86246 for other preserved electric locomotives and the shell was broken up in 2017.
