Sitting on jacks inside Barclays Caledonia Engine Works, Kilmarnock on 11th September 1988 is Class 141 DMSL vehicle No. 55530. All 20 Neville Hill Leeds based Class 141 two-car railbus units passed through the works in the late 1980s for refurbishment, the chassis of one of the vehicles can been seen in the foreground. Withdrawn in the late 1990s DMSL No. 55530, along with it's partner DMS No. 55510, were purchased as a source of spares by the Weardale Railway No. 55530 being eventually scrapped during August 2009.
