2-2-2 "Mataro" was built in 1947/48 to celebrate the centenary of the arrival of the railway, with a commemorative trip between Barcelona and Mataro. The original locomotive was scrapped due to damage suffered during removal from a pedestal following an exhibition in 1876. This locomotive, pictured at the museum in Vilanova i la Geltru on 18th December 2016, has been maintained in working condition.
