The first timetabled passenger train in 44 years has passed Norden Gates to proceed along four miles of newly restored line to terminate within sight of the town of Wareham. This service was the 09:45 departure from Swanage hauled by SR 'U' Class mogul No. 31806, the train is seen passing Furzebrook Depot two miles west of Norden before proceeding across Creech Heath towards its destination - Bridge No. 4 and The River Frome on 8th April 2016 the first day of The Swanage Railway Spring Steam Gala. On the rear is visiting GWR Class 4200 No. 4247 which, due to gauging issues only operated west of Norden.
