On the 17th March 2016 a pair of Transnet 6E 1's, Nos. E1950 and E1597, are seen passing Klapmuts in the Western Cape, at the head of a Shosholoza Meyl Train from Johannesburg to Cape Town. The leading locomotive No. E1950, a former Blue Train locomotive, is painted in the recently introduced PRASA (Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa) livery, while No. E1597 is painted in the original maroon with yellow whiskers livery.
