On the 16th March 2016 this line of stored Transnet Class 9E's, of which Nos. E9029, 9010, 9003 and 9025 are visible in this photograph, are seen at Saldanha Depot in the Western Cape. The Class 9E's, which were the original 50KV AC locomotives used on the long iron ore trains from Sishen Mine in the Northern Cape to the Saldanha iron ore terminal, have recently been replaced by Class 15E locomotives.
