Shortly after appearing from Brush traction Co-Co Class 89 No. 89001 was engaged in test runs between Willesden and Longsight. On one such run on 28th April the test train rounds Queensville Curve approaching Stafford.Of interest are not only the test vehicles at the front of the train but the train was composed of coaches that were built by BR as a speculative venture for International use.
