Class 91/0 No. 91024 is seen waiting in Platform 8 at Crewe Station on Saturday 7th December 1991. Built locally at nearby Crewe Works and delivered to BR in September 1990 this was a very unusual Class of locomotive to see on the WCML and I can only assume it had returned to the works for some reason. It would appear to be awaiting a path south towards London, maybe to Willesden, and is carrying it's original BR Intercity Swallow livery. 23 years later as we near the end of 2014 the loco is still in front line serveice on the ECML but nowadays in the livery of East Coast Trains and renumbered as a Class 91/1 No. 91124.
