On 28th May 2014, South-West Trains Class 450/5 No. 450549 is pictured stopped at Platform 1 at Eastleigh at 14:10, en-route from Poole to London Waterloo, while South-West Trains Class 444 No. 444009, also heading for Waterloo from Weymouth, overtakes it. At the other side of the station, Freightliner-liveried Class 70/0 70015, with a container train from Crewe Basford Hall to Southampton, waits in Platform 2 for an approaching Weymouth-bound train (not in shot) to overtake.
