The Great Central Railway's double track is shown to its advantage as two trains pass to the south of Loughborough on 29th March 2014 at the GCR Spring Diesel Gala. Class 47 No. D1705 (47117) 'Sparrowhawk' heads to Loughborough with the 09:40 Leicester North departure while Class 27 No. D5401 (27056) leaves Loughborough with the 10:00 service to Rothley (with Class 45/1 No. D123 (45125) at the rear of this working in place of a Class 33 which had been scheduled to run).
