Class 50 No. 50050 Fearless at Bristol Temple Meads on 19th September 1983. All Class 50's are named after naval ships, Fearless is a 12,500 ton assault ship which saw action in the Falklands War. First of the class new as D400 on 23rd September 1967 to LMWL after being built at the Vulcan Foundry and withdrawn on 31st March 1994. Sold for preservation in April 1998 and is currently in preservation at the Yeovil Railway Centre by the D400 Fund.
