The Network Rail test train visited the Bishop Auckland branch on 23rd January 2014. Running as 1Q13, the train had started at York Holgate and ran to Pelaw on Tyneside, via Bishop Auckland and the Durham Coast, before returning to York and ultimately Leeds. In this view, with the Network Rail Class 31, No. 31465, leading and driving trailer 9701 at the rear, the train is seen in afternoon sunshine on the return from Bishop Auckland passing 'Locomotion', the National Railway Museum facility at Shildon.
