Another attempt at the probable once-in-a-lifetime photo opportunity - the World's 2 most well known and iconic Steam Locomotives, face-to-face at the National Railway Museum's 'Railfest' at York on 10th June 2012. LNER A3 Pacific Flying Scotsman, (numbered 502 on its right hand side and 103 on the left hand side) stands in wartime black livery and with small smoke deflectors but without connecting rods and several other components as a result of it undergoing the continuing and prolonged latest complete overhaul and facing the World-Record breaking Garter Blue-liveried LNER Pacific Class A4 Pacific No. 4468 Mallard.
