At one time Class 20s were the motive power on Derby to Crewe services, but nowerdays they are a rare sight on this line. On the 28th July 2013, HN Rail orange Class 20s Nos. 20311 and 20314 are seen to have passed Tutbury and Hatton Nestle factory and head to Marston-on-Dove working light from Crewe to Barrow Hill, after being one of two pairs of Class 20s used on a Holyhead to Llandudno charter the previous day.
