The photograph shows HN Rail Class 20/3 No's 20311 and 20314 in their distinctive orange, black and yellow livery, at the leading end of working 7X09, 15:54 Derby Litchurch Lane to Amersham restarting after an exceptionally long wait adjacent to Burton-on-Trent station. This followed a 225-minute earlier than scheduled departure from Bombardier's Litchurch Lane works on Monday 29th April 2013. The train is comprised of an eight-car S-stock unit No's. 21001 and 21002 for London Underground, which is sandwiched between the barrier tank wagons and the rear GB Railfreight Class 20/9 No's. 20905 and 20901 at the rear of the formation. The backdrop of the photograph is dominated by buildings connected with the brewing industry of the town with the island platforms, separated by the overgrowth of shrubs, of Burton-on-Trent railway station visible to the left of the picture.
