A convoy of five preserved diesel locomotives with the Deltic Preservation Society's Class 55 No. D9009 Alycidon at the helm are pictured approaching Lichfield Trent Valley along the down relief line on Tuesday 30th April 2013 as they return to the East Lancs Railway from the previous weekends diesel gala at the Mid-Hants Railway where they had been special guests. The locomotives in tow as special working 0Z20, 08:52 Alton to Castleton Hopwood include Class 33/1 No. 33109 Captain Bill Smith R.N.R., Class 47/4 No. 47402, Class 20 No. 20087 and at the rear of the quintet, Class 37/9 No. 37901 Mirrlees Pioneer.
