For many years, South Wales has had a long association with the Class 56. The Class 56s were well known for hauling some of British Rail's heaviest freight trains, namely iron-ore traffic between the steelworks of Port Talbot and Llanwern. Photographed a few miles away from their former stamping ground 'Colas' Class 56/0 No. 56087 storms along the South Wales main line at Llanvedenny atop 6Z52 Chirk-Teigngrace timber empties. To the rear of the train Bishton fly-over can be seen on 7th November 2012.
