Siemens Desiro Class 350 No. 350123 pauses at the ornate Stone Station on 17th March 2012 with a London Midland, Crewe to Euston service, the only trains to stop here. Stone Station was opened on 1st May 1849 by the North Staffs railway to replace an earlier station and was built to a distinctive architectural design by Sir Henry Arthur Hunt and was refurbished in 2003 for community use and is a grade 2 listed building.
