An unusual sight at Penzance on 7th August 2012 as FGW class 57/6 No. 57602 heads the sleeper stock ready to head up to Long Rock. This loco arrived in on the rear of the train which was hauled in by 57605. Its presence was required to assist the stricken No. 57603 which had failed the previous day causing the cancellation of the Sleeper to Paddington on 6th August. The train was held overnight in a sising at Long Rock and was presumably taken back to Old Oak Common by the spare loco during the day.
