Freightliner Heavy Haul Class 66 No. 66623 'Bill Bolsover', in Bardon Aggregates livery, heads across the flooded Hundred Foot Washes near Manea in Cambridgeshire with a rake of loaded sand wagons forming the 6Z88 Middleton Towers to Ellesmere Port service on Tuesday 24th July 2012. While it is normal for the Washes to be flooded in winter, to see them like this in what is supposed to be high summer is rare, and testifies to the abnormally high rainfall that eastern England, along with most other parts of the country, has seen in recent months.
