Cumbres & Toltec Class K36, No. 489 going on shed in Chama having completed a return working to Osier on 22nd September 2011. In this photograph the engine is still marked up with No. 485 after it was used for a night photo shoot the evening before. No. 485 was the only one of the ten in the class which was not been preserved, it came to a nasty end at Alamosa Depot when it fell into the turntable well in the 1960’s.
