A glorious September afternoon withnesses the 'Atlantic Coast Express' appropriately headed by the impressive S.R 'Battle of Britain' Class loco, No. 34067 'Tangmere', leading an equally impressive B.R Standard Class '7P' loco, No 70000 'Britannia', passes through Bristol Temple Meads. The charter, 1Z92, 10:24 London Waterloo-Newquay had been diverted from the advertised route and was re-routed via Bristol and was at this point running 40 minutes late. Unfortunately, 'Tangmere' ran into problems and was removed from the train at Taunton due to it being declared a failure. It is understood that Class 47, No 47 500 worked the charter forward along with 'Britannia' and got underway some two hours late. 0on 4th September 2011.
