Stanier Class 8F, No. 48151, draws slowly out of Swanage Station, on 30th June 2011, with the return leg of the 'Swanage Belle' charter train. There were thirteen coaches in this formation - at a platform that usually accommodates just five - and the head of the train was positioned next to the turntable. Acceleration was very slow, due to the heavy load behind the locomotive, and the driver could be seen manipulating both the regulator and the cut-off, in order to keep slipping under effective control, as he moved away.
