Freightliner Class 66/6 No. 66610 works the new 6Z88 Middleton Towers to Ellesmere Port service, hauling a train of MJA box wagons loaded with sand, on 26th April 2011. Seen here passes through Manea, the sand (or what might be left of it!), is destined for Quinn Glass of Elton, in Cheshire. With a dedicated railhead re-opened on the Manchester Ship Canal, the offloaded sand will then just require a short road haul to complete its journey to Elton.
