Class 47/0 No. 47209 stands at Strood on 22nd December 1990, with a train of empty ammunition wagons on route from Ridham Dock to Hoo Junction. Several wagons in the middle of the train derailed on the points, which caused some initial over reaction from the authorities upon hearing about this who promptly shut everthing including the local roads for about two miles - not good on a busy Saturday afternoon just before Christmas!
