Stone station betrays its North Staffordshire Railway origin and thanks to being taken over by the Local Council, who carried out a sympathetic restoration some years ago, it has received due recognition. Class 350/1 No. 350125 calls on the 08.33 Crewe-Euston shortly after the restoration of train services after a five-year gap on 29th December 2008.
