Lackawanna No. 500 switcher was built in 1953 by General Motors. 800 HP. Originally constructed for Wabash Railroad of 'Canonball' fame. Merged into Norfolk & Western in 1964, becoming Norfolk Southern in 1982. Given to Steamtown USA foundation in 1985 in a trade with the Norfolk Southern for a Norfolk Western 2-6-6-4 No. 1218.
