New Jersey Transit's ALP-46 No. 4602 electric locomotive stands at Penn Station in New York, on 12th October 2010. Built in Germany by Bombardier (formerly ADtranz) at their Kassel plant between 2001 - 2002, they produce a hefty 7100 hp. The ALP-46 was derived from the German Class 101 and is excluively operated by NJ Transit, primarily for service to and from Penn Station.
