Lookout Mountain’s Incline Railway is claimed to be the world’s steepest passenger railway, with a gradient of up to 72 degrees. Two 100 hp motors replaced the original coal-burning steam engines in 1911, and the line has been in operation for more than a 100 years. Seen here at Chattanooga TN, on 13th April 2003.
