The North Bay Railway at Scarborough is now in it's 80th year of operation. The 3/4 mile, 1ft 8ins gauge, line operates from Peasholm Park to Scalby Mills station on the seafront. It currently has 4 steam outline diesel locomotives, the oldest being 4-6-2 No. 1931 'Neptune' which has operated on the railway since it's opening year in 1931. The locomotive is the oldest diesel hydraulic locomotive in the world and is seen here on 28th June 2010 at Beach station (currently out of use), shortly after departure from Scalby Mills.
