Preserved Class 47 No 47580 County Of Essex is seen on diaply at Long Marston on 6th June 2008. It is normally based at Tysley in Birmingham but is also able to run on the main line and as such was involved in bringing a number of other locomotives for display at Long Marston. It was named 'County of Essex' after it had been refurbished in 2008, a name it was originally bestowed in 1979. Prior to refurbishment it was a RES liveried locomotive and was named Restormel and had the running number of 47732.
