Three generations of heavy freight locomotives can be seen in this shot, at Toton on 6th April 2008. In the background, and awaiting final disposal the 1980's MGR and heavy freight Class 58's can be seen in various fading liveries, all essential parts removed, Class 56's also are represented, themselves a mainstay of 1980's MGR traffic. In the foreground the new order is shown with the Canadian built Class 66's, 66154 awaits a driver change before departing with a loaded MGR working whilst 66143 passes slowly alongside.
