EWS Class 60 No. 60009 passes Hyde Junction and enters Hyde North station on 2nd August 2004 as it works a rake of empty RMC stone hoppers to Peak Forest. The local signaller must have had his work cut out slotting this train in between the frequent evening commuter services. Having just restarted from the loop between Guide Bridge and Hyde Junction the train would be halted again in Hyde North station to allow the preceding First North Western service to Rose Hill to clear the next section.
