FIRST UK RAIL CLASS 56 ENTERS SERVICE

UK Rail Leasing, a new locomotive operating company, has told Railway Herald of its plans for expansion and reintroduction of its fleet of Type 5 locomotives.


The company owns a total of 15 Class 56 locomotives, four of which are currently being worked on to return them to operational condition, while a fifth locomotive, has become the first of the fleet to enter traffic, being handed over to Freightliner last week.
