The main station building at Stamford Bridge seen on 3rd December 2024 on the desceased NER York to Hull line and now used as a members only social club. The station opened on 4th October 1847 and closed after the last train on 27th November 1965. Stamford Bridge is best known as the site where King Harold defeated the Vikings on 25th September 1066, his only win.
