USATC S160 Class No. 2253 Omaha departing Goathland with 13:57 Grosmont - Pickering on the second day of the North Yorkshire Moors Railway Steam Gala.The locomotive from Dartmouth Steam Railway built in America by Baldwin in 1943 and shipped to Britain before going to France in September 1944. It ended up in Poland from where it was acquired and named Omaha in honour of the owners father who participated in D Day on Omaha Beach June 1944 on 27th September 2024.
