On the first day of a three day Diesel Gala on the NYMR on 14th June 2024, a pair of Class 20's with No. 20189 leading classmate No. 20142 in London Transport livery, arrive at Levisham station during a heavy downpour working the 11.37 service from Grosmont to Pickering. It was a testing time at Levisham Station. Not only was there a heavy downpour of rain but there was a signal failure and trains were being operated under a yellow flag from the northerly, Grosmont, direction. Class 31, No. 31466 is out of sight at the rear of this train.
